Job summary

Hyde Square Task Force in Boston’s Jamaica Plain is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising and communications. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on relationship building to secure $3.5M+ annually and guide the capital campaign.

Based in Boston's Latin Quarter for 90 days, the position becomes hybrid with up to two remote days weekly, reporting to the Executive Director and collaborating with the senior leadership team to expand individual, corporate, and institutional

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of fundraising experience.
• 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success meeting $3M+ targets.
• Experience cultivating major donors.
• Strong donor communications skills.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising and communications strategy with the ED.
• Manage the development team and consultants.
• Oversee grants portfolio and donor stewardship.
• Plan annual fundraising events and coordinate with the capital campaign.
• Assist in reporting to the board and funders.
