Job summary

United Parish in Brookline seeks its first Director of Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising program rooted in faith, relationship-building, and shared vision. Working closely with clergy, staff, and volunteer leadership, the director will grow annual giving, major gifts, grants, and campaigns.

Qualifications

• At least five years of fundraising experience with growth in strategic leadership.
• Proven track record increasing philanthropic revenue, including major gifts.
• Experience designing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
• Experience building development infrastructure, systems, and processes.
• Proficiency with fundraising databases, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
• Experience with faith-based communities; progressive Christianity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year development plan including annual and planned giving.
• Lead campaigns and grant activities, including a forthcoming capital campaign.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors and institutions.
• Create compelling cases for support and donor communications.
• Establish metrics and reporting to track fundraising performance.
