Job summary

Hero's Bridge, a nonprofit serving elderly veterans in Warrenton, VA, seeks a Director of Development to lead revenue-generating activities including annual giving, major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, events, and capital campaigns. You will work with the CEO and COO to drive revenue growth and long-term sustainability.

This full-time, hybrid role reports to the CEO and focuses on building a robust development program, donor relations, and diversified funding streams to support mission

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years progressive fundraising experience.
• Demonstrated major gift experience.
• Experience in small to mid-sized nonprofit growth environments.
• Strong strategic planning and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish annual revenue targets across all funding streams.
• Create revenue forecasting models and fundraising dashboards.
• Diversify funding sources to strengthen long-term sustainability.
• Lead preparation and coordination of capital campaign efforts while aligning with annual priorities.
• Oversee foundation and government funding strategy and reporting compliance.
• Develop corporate sponsorships and strengthen community partnerships.
