The Remington Museum of Art in New York seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts and build a sustainable program. This senior role combines strategic vision with hands-on fundraising to expand philanthropic support for the museum.

You will oversee major gifts, annual giving, sponsorships, grants, donor relations, and data systems while partnering with the Executive Director, Board, and Remington Foundation.

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years of progressive nonprofit fundraising or advancement experience.
• Experience across major gifts, annual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation relations, grants, or campaigns.
• Proven success cultivating donor relationships and directly soliciting philanthropic support.
• Experience building, strengthening, or managing a development program or significant component of one.
• Strong understanding of donor CRM/database systems, prospect management, donor segmentation, and fundraising reporting.
• Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through without extensive supervision.
• Experience with grant strategy, grant writing, and/or grant management strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Executive Director, trustees, Foundation leadership, staff, donors, and community partners.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and respect for donor confidentiality.
• Experience in museums, arts and culture, higher education, historic sites, or other mission-driven nonprofit organizations is valued but not required.

• Develop and implement an annual development plan with goals and timelines.
• Manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
• Lead major gifts program in partnership with the Executive Director.
• Own corporate sponsorship strategy and sponsorship opportunities.
• Direct the grant strategy and pipeline across private foundations and government.
• Establish donor relations and stewardship practices.
• Oversee donor data systems and CRM, with reporting.
• Collaborate with the Board and Remington Foundation on fundraising strategy.
