  • Monitor deliverables and timelines for Internal Communications activities.
  • Maintain files and record data in databases and internal systems.
  • Assist with slide decks, reports, and data analysis.
  • Handle daily admin tasks and vendor invoices; support the team as needed.

Qualifications

The Development Coordinator is a programmatic support role within the Mass General Brigham Development Office. With appropriate guidance, the Coordinator handles several important functions for the Internal Communications team, including assisting with logistics for the weekly employee newsletter, intranet posts, leadership communications, staff activities, and the All Staff meeting. This role requires basic content management, web, email, marketing, and design work, as well as administrative tasks including calendar management and scheduling, data entry, preparations and follow-up for meetings and events, managing business expenses, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Manage meeting scheduling, logistics, room booking, printing, and day-of activities for the monthly Development All Staff meeting.
  • Coordinate scheduling, prepare agendas and materials, take notes, and organize follow-up actions for meetings, presentations, and seminars.
  • Write, proof, and/or edit documents, including the employee newsletter, leadership correspondence, speaking points, email communications, and staff updates. Manage Internal Communications calendar and inbox; interpret information necessary to draft responses as needed.
  • Create announcement and resource posts on the employee Intranet as needed and create the employee newsletter within our content management system on a weekly basis.
  • Track deliverables and timelines for ongoing Internal Communications activities.
  • Maintain and organize files. Save documents and keep records. Gather and record data and action items in databases and internal files, ensuring thorough documentation of fundraising activity and results.
  • Assist in building slide decks, pulling reports, creating photo slideshows, and analyzing data.
  • Assist with daily administrative activities as needed. Submit employee expenses and vendor invoices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve potential conflicts to assist the Internal Communications team, thereby supporting the entire Development office.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required and 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or relationship-building role. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills, abilities and competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, with time management, problem solving and project management skills
  • Command of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook) and content management systems, or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Competency using videoconferencing platforms (Zoom and Teams preferred), or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Proficiency with data entry or data management in a database
  • Attention to detail, creativity and strong work ethic
  • Desire and motivation to learn about the organization, fundraising, and communications/marketing
  • Emotional intelligence and awareness of personal work styles in self and others
  • Adaptability and flexibility in times of shifting priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse audiences
  • Mission driven, desire to make an impact

The target salary range for this position is $50,000 - $53,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate’s experience and internal equity.
