The Director of Donor Strategy and Communications serves as a communications strategist focused on principal and transformational gift supporters and bespoke projects. Reporting to the Senior Director, Donor Project Management, the Director is a key member of the Strategic Philanthropy & Engagement team within the Mass General Brigham Development Office.
Serving as a trusted strategy partner, the Director collaborates with gift officers, faculty, hospital leadership, project managers, and marketing colleagues to create high-impact communications, including case statements, proposals, donor correspondence, stewardship materials, and custom communications for high‑profile initiatives and events.
Success in this role requires exceptional writing, collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree required and 7‑10 years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in development, science, healthcare, sales, or a related field. Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization is preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills, abilities and competencies:
The target salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 /Annual. Final offers will be based on the candidate’s experience and internal equity.
