Job summary

Human Resources / Development Coordinator - Harleysville, PA

Are you passionate about helping others grow through impactful training and development? Peaceful Living is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our Human Resources team! This vital role supports the Director of Human Resources by coordinating team member training programs and ensuring the smooth, timely execution of HR functions - including bi-weekly payroll support.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring staff are well-equipped to provide quality care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Key Responsibilities

Training & Orientation

  • Lead and facilitate New Employee Orientation every 3 weeks (or as needed).
  • Deliver engaging sessions on DSP responsibilities, IDD history, policies, safety, and mission alignment.
  • Set up and prepare training materials, handouts, and presentations.
  • Administer CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration training using DHS-approved curriculum.

Ongoing Development & Residential Training

  • Design and maintain customized training programs based on staff roles and experience levels.
  • Provide on-site residential and DSP-specific training, including communication and behavioral support strategies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify training gaps and performance needs.

Compliance & Certification

  • Track and manage all employee training records using systems like iSolve/MITC.
  • Ensure certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Med Admin) are completed and current.
  • Support compliance during licensing inspections and after incident investigations.

Administrative Support

  • Monitor training databases and coordinate setup of online platforms (e.g., Relias and myODP).
  • Work with payroll and supervisors to ensure onboarding and training hours are properly documented.
  • Ensure all onboarding checklist and competencies are completed and submitted.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in staffing training, education, or workforce development (IDD or human services preferred).
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Working knowledge of DHS regulations and IDD-related training content.
  • Proficiency with training databases and digital-platforms (e.g., Relias)
  • CPR/First Aid instructor and Med Admin Trainer certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Education/Experience

  • Minimum: Associates Degree in Human Services, Education, Training & Development, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. or High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
