Job summary

Holy Family Institute seeks a Lead Clinician to oversee clinical services, train and supervise clinical staff, and ensure confidentiality in child-facing services. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, safety planning, and collaboration with community providers.

The position requires a Master's or Doctorate in a behavioral health field, 2+ years of post-graduate direct service experience, supervisory licensure, and FBI/Act 33/34 clearances.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited program, includes 2 years of post-graduate direct service delivery experience.
• Must have supervisory experience and be licensed to provide clinical services in the state where the care provider is located.
• Must have Act 33/34 and FBI clearances and valid PA driver’s licence.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under stress.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute.
• Provides individual and group supervision to clinicians and clinical interns.
• Engages in observation of minors with significant behavioral or mental health challenges and provides recommendations on best practices.
• Builds and maintains relationships with community mental health providers to facilitate referrals for minors to external mental health services.
• Submits Treatment Authorization Requests and ensures required documentation for all appointments.
• Reviews clinical documents for all minors to ensure compliance.
• Assists in the creation and implementation of safety plans.
• Facilitates onboarding and training of new clinicians and clinical interns.
• Ensures quality of clinical materials and interventions utilized with clients.
• Manages 30 Day Safety & Well Being follow up call completion and submission by deadlines.
• Meets with assigned unaccompanied minors weekly for individual counseling and group sessions.
• Assists in developing a discharge plan with post-discharge supports.
• Works collaboratively with staff, children, families, service providers, and others.
• Participates in required agency and regulatory trainings.
• Reports any civil or criminal convictions as required.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

General Statement of Duties:

The Lead Clinician oversees clinical services, and trains and supervises clinical staff. Ensures that behavioral health specialists complete relevant training on evidence-based practices in mental and behavioral health care delivery. They must ensure that child-facing services are provided on-site and in a confidential manner.

• Engages in observation of minors with significant behavioral or mental health challenges in the milieu and provides recommendations regarding best practices, including modeling therapeutic approaches.
• Builds and maintains relationships with community mental health providers in order to facilitate referrals for minors to external mental health services as needed.
• Submits Treatment Authorization Requests and ensures required documentation is completed for all appointments.
• Reviews clinical documents for all minors to ensure compliance expectations are met.
• Assists in the creation and implementation of safety plans.
• Facilitates the onboarding and training of new clinicians and clinical interns.
• Ensures quality of clinical materials and interventions utilized with clients.
• Manages 30 Day Safety & Well Being follow up call completion and submission by appropriate deadlines.
• Meets with assigned unaccompanied minors once per week for individual counseling, and once per week in group setting to address behavior, concerns, and monitor progress regarding UC’s overall psychosocial functioning.
• Demonstrates dignity and respect for the identified sponsor or family, while working collaboratively with the sponsor to ensure a safe and timely release.
• Assists in developing a discharge plan which identifies appropriate supportive services and natural supports, which is clearly defined and identify a continuation of post discharge services, if needed.
• Works collaboratively with staff, children, families, service providers, and others
• Participates in all required agency and regulatory trainings within expected time frame.
• Works collaboratively with staff, children, families, service providers, and others.
• Promptly reports civil or criminal convictions, charges, arrests, investigations, or adjudications that may arise since staff member’s last background investigation. This includes but is not limited to sexual abuse in a prison, jail, holding facility, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, other institution (as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997), or care provider facility; conviction of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or who was civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in such activity.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
