Job summary

Ridge and Valley Charter School in Blairstown, NJ seeks an Advancement & Development Coordinator to lead fundraising including annual giving, capital campaigns and operational support.

The role collaborates with the School Leadership Team, develops donor relations, manages data, and oversees communications across social media and news outlets. Full-time, on-site with some remote flexibility and a salary of $60k-$75k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong technology skills with Google workplace tools, spreadsheets, databases, email, and other communications software.
• Familiarity with grant maker databases such as candid.org.
• Strong experience with social media and communications outlets.
• Experience with fundraising, donor development, grants, or advancement work.
• Experience with schools, nonprofits, sustainability, environmental education, or mission‑driven organizations.
• Builder mindset; strategic and practical.

Responsibilities

• Capital Campaigns - Planning, organizing, and executing a capital campaign.
• Annual Giving - Planning, organizing, and executing annual fundraising.
• Donor Development - Cultivating relationships with potential donors.
• Communications Management - Overseeing communications including social media and earned media.
• Data Management - Building and maintaining data systems to support advancement.
• Grant Applications - Researching and pursuing grant opportunities.
• Community Support - Engaging trustees and community members in fundraising.
• Coordination - Working with Leadership Team to ensure smooth workflows.
• Presence - On-site work as necessary.
