Job summary

City Garden Montessori School seeks a Development & Communications Manager to lead the annual fund, donor communications, fundraising events, stewardship activities, and development operations. You will be the operational and communications engine of the advancement team, coordinating campaigns, calendars, and donor outreach.

Reporting to the Director of Development, you will manage stories, newsletters, reports, social media, and grant reporting, while ensuring timely acknowledgments and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, or marketing.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience with CRM systems and donor databases.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Passion for educational equity and Montessori education.

Responsibilities

• Annual Fund Management: Plan and execute annual fund campaigns and manage calendars and outreach.
• Communications and storytelling: Develop annual communications calendar and donor materials; gather stories and manage content across channels.
• Events: Manage logistics and communications for fundraising events and donor engagements.
• Donor stewardship and engagement: Coordinate stewardship activities and donor recognition programs.
• Development operations: Maintain donor records, generate fundraising reports, and assist with prospect research and grants reporting.
