Job summary

Irish Arts Center in New York, NY seeks a Development Associate to support its development team with administrative and project management duties across core fundraising revenue lines and to manage and grow our membership program from $50 to $1000 donors, with potential to become a key fundraiser.

The role involves research and pipeline development, annual appeals, donor cultivation and stewardship, and collaboration with grant staff; reports to the Director of Development.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of administrative work experience, preferably in a development or nonprofit context.
• Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Experience with database systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow membership revenues across levels.
• Oversee membership benefits and cultivate donor relationships.
• Collaborate with fundraisers to identify growth areas and targets.
• Oversee research and prospecting processes.
• Supervise seasonal research intern.
• Support Grant Writer and Grants Coordinator on funding projects.
• Coordinate annual appeals (EOY, St. Patrick’s Day, EOFY).
• Provide concierge support for major donors.
• Assist with department tasks as needed.
