Job summary

ArtPhilly seeks a Development Associate to oversee back-office fundraising operations and expand donor engagement for the biennial festival. You will manage donor communications, databases, prospect research, and event logistics in close collaboration with leadership.

The role emphasizes meticulous administration, donor stewardship, and collaboration with grant writers to advance fundraising goals and festival growth.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in nonprofit development operations or arts administration.
  • Strong written communication for donor correspondence.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with donor databases/CRMs (e.g. HubSpot).
  • Passion for the arts and community engagement; Philly knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain donor management system data integrity and profiles.
  • Record gifts, pledges, and matching gifts per protocols.
  • Prepare acknowledgments and tax receipts within 48 hours.
  • Generate weekly and campaign fundraising reports.
  • Coordinate donor communications and newsletters.
  • Track promised benefits and engagement milestones.
  • Identify prospective donors and assist grant submissions.
  • Plan donor events and manage on-site festival check-ins.
