Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Property Accountant in Maryland to manage development budgets, forecasts, and financial models across multiple projects. You will track pre-development costs, develop pro formas, and monitor capitalization and expenditures, while preparing monthly reports for management, lenders, and investors.

The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio including LIHTC, multifamily, and commercial developments, with a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience in real estate development or project-based environments.
• Strong understanding of development accounting, project costing, capitalization, and financial reporting.
• Experience with development budgets, pro formas, and cash flow forecasts.
• Experience with construction financing, lender draws, and loan compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with land acquisition, entitlements, permitting, and construction phases.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced modeling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain development budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Track pre-development costs including land acquisition and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain project pro formas, cash flow forecasts, and feasibility analyses.
• Record, classify, and monitor development expenditures per capitalization policies.
• Prepare monthly development financial reports for management and lenders.
• Assist with annual audits, tax return prep, and investor reporting.
• Ensure compliance with loan and partner agreements.
• Support process improvements within accounting and finance.
