Job summary

Buildkite is seeking a Developer Events Lead in the Bay Area to own the strategy, budget, partners, and systems behind our events program. You will shape where Buildkite shows up and how we measure impact, with room to expand to other regions.

You'll collaborate with GTM, Sales, and Brand to turn moments into meaningful relationships and business impact, building scalable processes and leading flagship events end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Experience building and leading events, community, or field marketing strategies.
• Ability to design scalable programs and repeatable processes.
• Comfort working autonomously, making decisions in ambiguity.
• Translate business goals into practical execution plans with stakeholders.
• Measure event impact beyond attendance, linking to pipeline and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Shape our events strategy and determine where we show up and how success is measured.
• Build budgets, vendor relationships, and playbooks for a scalable program.
• Own flagship events end-to-end from strategy to post-event analysis.
• Represent Buildkite to customers, partners, sponsors, and the developer community.
