Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management program, at least 18 years old, eager to learn, and prepared for standard hours and safety-first work on site.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program or co-op; recommended majors include Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management
• Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction project site
• Desire to work in construction management and learn about the industry
• Commitment to standard business hours and overtime as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to read and comprehend written information
• Demonstrates accountability for actions and activities
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn and participate
• Able to work independently with supervision and in a team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assist on active construction project sites under supervision
• Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting
• Learn construction management concepts and apply knowledge from academics
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors
• Participate in training, meetings, and orientation
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE
• Assist with preparation of estimates, RFIs, and shop drawings
• Assist with coordination with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Monitor contractor safety program compliance
• Assist with quantity take-offs and project item studies
