Job summary

Nexus Family Recovery Center in Dallas seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for PRN detox nursing. You will monitor withdrawal, administer medications, and coordinate care with physicians and staff to ensure client safety and comfort during detoxification.

Responsibilities include admissions assessments, vital signs, emergency response, documentation in the EHR, and client education on withdrawal management. Prior detox/behavioral health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• LVN license in good standing with the State of Texas.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, preferably in detox or behavioral health.
• Experience with substance use disorders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission nursing assessments and monitor withdrawal using CIWA/COWS.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure safe storage and documentation.
• Respond to medical emergencies and follow emergency protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EHR and coordinate with the care team.
• Educate clients on medications and withdrawal management when appropriate.
