Nexus Family Recovery Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for per diem work in our medical detox unit. The LVN will provide direct nursing care to clients undergoing detox, monitor withdrawal, administer medications, and collaborate with the medical team.

This role requires an LVN license in Texas, a 2-year degree, and 1 year of nursing experience preferred in detox or behavioral health. Strong assessment, documentation, and emergency response skills are essential.

Qualifications

Current LVN license with no sanctions in Texas.
Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred, ideally in detox, behavioral health, emergency care, or medical-surgical settings.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor withdrawal symptoms and vital signs; document in charting systems.
Administer medications as ordered and observe for adverse effects.
Provide nursing care per medical orders and facility policies.
Observe and report changes to the physician, nurse supervisor, or medical provider.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure regulatory compliance.
