Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. in La Plata, MD, seeks a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LGPC/LCPC) for the Charles County Detention Center. This 40-hour, on-site role runs Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The clinician conducts mental health assessments, coordinates services, and serves as the liaison between medical and facility staff to uphold NCCHC standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with clinical coursework.
• Licensed in Maryland as LGPC/LCPC/LMSW/LCSW-C.
• Minimum two years of experience; MAT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments with referrals and self-referrals, incl. mental status exam and treatment plan.
• Perform risk assessments using structured interviews and tools.
• Act as mental health liaison between medical unit and facility staff.
• Coordinate admission to forensic hospitals when needed.
• Monitor and ensures NCCHC-standard mental health services.
• Develop in-service education and prepare monthly performance reports.
