PrimeCare Medical, Inc. in Towson, MD, is hiring a licensed clinician (LMSW/LCSW-C or LGPC/LCPC) to oversee mental health services at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with responsibilities spanning clinical assessments, risk management, and liaison duties between medical and housing staff. Requirements include a master’s degree in Social Work or related field and MD licensure in one of the specified titles; a minimum of two years’

Qualifications

• Must hold a master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience.
• Must be licensed as a LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
• Experience with substance abuse/MAT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, including mental status examination, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Perform risk assessments using structured interviews and tools; manage inmates at risk of suicide or self-harm.
• Serve as the mental health liaison between medical unit and facility staff and coordinate services.
• Facilitate admission and placement to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitor all mental health services and standards of care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and develop in-service education programs.
• Collect data and prepare monthly performance reports.

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. (i.e., PCM) is a privately owned, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional healthcare practice. We are actively recruiting for a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW-C) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LGPC or LCPC) to work in the medical department at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, MD.

This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Job Responsibilities:

In this role the clinician is responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating and implementing of the mental health program in accordance with NCCHC standards and will serve as the mental health liaison between the medical unit and facility staff.

• Conduct clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals. Assessments include documentation of findings, including at a minimum a mental status examination and case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Makes referrals to psychiatry when appropriate.
• Risk assessments are to be conducted utilizing structured interviews and risk assessment tools. Inmates at risk for suicide and/or engaging in self-harm are managed utilizing existing protocols according to current policy and procedures.
• Serve as the PrimeCare Medical (PCM) mental health liaison for mental health services, outside the facility.
• Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic hospitals when necessary.
• Monitors all mental health services provided.
• Monitors clinical services to ensure that standards of care are in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/ psychological standards.
• Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.
• Collects data and prepares monthly reports, which reflect performance

• Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience. Annual Salary range is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00. Shift Differential is offered in addition for hours work in the evening.
