Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Behavioral Health Supervisor to oversee the clinical monitoring and coordination of the behavioral health program at the Charles County Detention Center in La Plata, MD.

The role is on-site, full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with on-call responsibilities. Requires MD-licensed LCPC or LCSW, a Master’s degree in a related field, and at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed LCPC or LCSW in Maryland.
• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with clinical concentration.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the behavioral health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA/MCCS standards.
• Engage inmates in therapeutic interventions to stabilize mental health and substance use concerns.
• Facilitate suicide prevention policy implementation and monitor compliance.
• Assess and document treatment responses of inmates.
• Coordinate admission/placement to forensic or community facilities and initiate paperwork.
• Serve as liaison between medical unit and facility staff; support interdisciplinary team meetings.
