Job summary

City of Twin Falls is seeking a Maintenance Worker for the Adult Detention Facility. The role focuses on maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, plus kitchen equipment, cameras, and electronic doors in a detention setting.

You will perform repairs, manage work orders, and ensure safety protocols in potentially hazardous environments while coordinating with the Lead Maintenance Mechanic and other staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with building maintenance preferred.
• Comfort working in a detention facility and exposure to inmates.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control, mechanical, structural and electronic systems.
• Repairs and maintains furniture and building fixtures.
• Maintains work orders, maintenance, and inspection records.
• Maintains and repairs tools and equipment.
• Performs general cleaning and building maintenance duties.
• Responds to questions from officials and citizens in a courteous and timely manner.
• Operates power equipment and hand tools safely.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows county policies.
