Job summary

Resolution Think, LLC is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for a detention facility in Houston, TX. The BHT provides mental health screenings, patient care management, and basic psycho-educational groups under the direction of a Behavioral Health Provider.

Responsibilities include health data collection, wellness checks, group facilitation, and documentation in electronic health records.

Qualifications

Associate degree in behavioral science or related field required.
Minimum of two years experience as a behavioral health technician or in a residential healthcare setting.
BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
AAPT certification at level 3 within 12 months of hire.
U.S. citizenship per federal contract requirements.
Current physical and immunizations.

Responsibilities

Under clinical direction, assist in providing direct services including health data collection and wellness checks.
Facilitate basic therapeutic and psycho-educational groups and provide individual patient education.
Assist in developing behavioral treatment interventions such as coping skills and anger management.
Gather patient care information to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
Document clinical observations (mood, sleep, eating patterns) in the medical records.
Chaperone and record vital signs for Tele-Behavioral Health appointments.
Maintain IHSC electronic medical record proficiency and comply with standards.
