Job summary

Strava is seeking a Senior Manager, Detection & Response to own and scale security monitoring, incident response, recovery, and post-incident improvements for both corporate and product security. You will lead a small team of engineers, partner with Infrastructure, Product Security, IT, and Engineering, and drive automation and strategic vendor partnerships in a high-growth environment.

The role follows a flexible hybrid model with more than half on-site at our San Francisco office, three days

Qualifications

• Experience building or scaling detection engineering or security operations.
• Track record leading incident command for multi-stakeholder incidents including executives.
• Ability to turn threat intelligence into practical detection strategies and proactive hunts.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response and security operations as escalation point during investigations.
• Build and mature detection across cloud, endpoint, and application layers.
• Own security logging and telemetry pipeline for detection readiness.
