Job summary

CMC seeks a detail-oriented CAD rebar detailer to convert design data into placing drawings using MicroStation and rebar software. You will determine quantities and bar sizes from project drawings and prepare detailed bar lists for fabrication and installation at construction sites.

You’ll read contract documents, perform basic math, and collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve missing information while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret contract documents.
• Basic math, algebra, and geometry competency.
• Proficiency with CAD platforms (Autodesk or Bentley).
• Understanding of rebar types, shapes, and applications.
• Strong attention to detail and spatial visualization.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Convert design data into placing drawings via MicroStation and rebar software.
• Determine quantities, sizes, lengths, and bends from project drawings.
• Prepare detailed placing drawings for ironworkers to install reinforcing bars.
• Create bar lists for reinforcement fabrication.
• Coordinate with contractor, architect, or engineer to obtain information.
• Meet project deadlines and work effectively in a team.
