Role Description

The Rebar Detailer is a full-time, on-site role located in Perris, CA. This position is responsible for preparing accurate rebar shop drawings, bar lists, and placement details based on structural and architectural plans. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project specifications, interpreting engineering and architectural drawings, coordinating with project managers and field teams, and resolving detailing issues before fabrication and installation. The Rebar Detailer will use detailing software and CAD tools to model steel structures and rebar layouts, verify dimensions and quantities, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role also involves maintaining organized documentation, meeting project deadlines, and communicating clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and produce Shop Drawings with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Steel Detailing and understanding of Steel Structures for construction projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of Rebar, including placement, sizing, and bending requirements.
• Ability to read and understand Architectural Drawings and structural plans.
• Experience with CAD or rebar detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, RebarCAD, or equivalent).
• Strong math skills, including geometry and basic structural calculations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and field teams.
• High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Prior experience as a rebar detailer, steel detailer, or in a related construction drafting role is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in drafting, engineering, or construction is a plus.
