Job summary

CBX Solutions seeks a Detailer to serve as the technical backbone of projects. You will translate contract documents into precise door, frame, and hardware schedules essential for ordering, fabrication, and installation, ensuring UL, fire code, ADA, and local building code compliance.

You will prepare shop drawings and submittals, coordinate with architects, GCs, and suppliers, and maintain accurate project files.

Qualifications

• Experience in detailing, estimating, project coordination, or specification work within commercial construction or building materials industry.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, architecture, or construction-related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Translate contract documents into accurate door, frame, and hardware schedules.
• Detail and schedule all door, frame, and hardware materials; verify costs against estimates.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer catalog cuts and CAD detailing tools.
• Verify products meet UL, fire, ADA, life safety, and local building code requirements.
• Maintain organized project files and review submittals for errors.
