Job summary

CBX Solutions is seeking a Detailer to translate contract documents into accurate door, frame, and hardware schedules that drive ordering and installation. You will ensure code compliance, assist in submittals, and support project teams with precise shop drawings and technical notes.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in detailing, familiarity with UL/ADA requirements, and proficiency with CAD/detailing software.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or hands-on experience in technical/construction fields.
• 2–4 years in detailing, estimating, or project coordination in commercial construction.
• Knowledge of doors, frames, hardware, and interface with openings.
• Familiarity with UL listings, fire ratings, ADA, life safety, and code standards.
• Proficiency with detailing software and MS Office; CAD is a plus.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work with architects/GCs.

Responsibilities

• Review documents to establish opening quantities and product requirements.
• Detail and schedule door, frame, and hardware materials; verify costs.
• Determine product selections per code, scope, and targets.
• Ensure products meet UL, fire, ADA, and local code requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using CAD/software.
• Write technical notes for submittals and coordinate with GC/architect.
• Maintain organized project files through the lifecycle.
• Review schedules and resubmittals for errors before release.
