Job summary

CBX Solutions, LLC is seeking a Detailer to translate contract documents into accurate, code‑compliant door, frame, and hardware schedules for project teams. You’ll determine openings and product requirements to meet UL, fire, ADA, and local building codes.

This role emphasizes precision as a subject‑matter expert, catching specification conflicts and producing submittals that withstand architect and contractor scrutiny. CAD/drawing software experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, architecture, or construction‑related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience considered
• 2 to 4 years of experience in detailing, estimating, project coordination, or specification work within the commercial construction or building materials industry
• Applied knowledge of door, frame, and hardware types and how components interact in a complete opening assembly
• Proficiency in company‑issued detailing and scheduling software and CAD experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, job requirements, and contract documents to establish accurate opening quantities and product requirements
• Accurately detail and schedule all door, frame, and hardware materials, verifying costs and documenting variances
• Determine product selections based on specification requirements, project scope, cost targets, and code standards
• Verify that products meet UL, fire, ADA, life safety, and local building code requirements
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using manufacturer catalog cuts and company software
• Prepare elevation drawings using CAD or detailing software
• Write technical notes identifying issues or verifications for the GC or architect
• Review schedules and submittals for errors and resubmit as required
• Maintain organized project files throughout the lifecycle
