Job summary

CBX Solutions seeks a Detailer to convert contract documents into accurate door, frame, and hardware schedules that meet UL, fire, ADA and local code requirements. You will prepare shop drawings and elevations using CAD and company software, ensuring precise, compliant submittals across projects.

The role emphasizes offi ce-friendly detailing work within a collaborative team, with growth opportunities and a strong focus on quality control and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years detailing, estimating, or coordination in commercial construction.
• Experience detailing door, frame, and hardware openings.
• Knowledge of UL, fire ratings, ADA, life safety and building codes.
• Proficient with CAD, detailing software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, job requirements, and contract documents to establish opening quantities and product requirements.
• Detail and schedule door, frame, and hardware materials; verify costs against estimates and document variances.
• Determine product selections based on specification requirements, scope, targets, and codes.
• Verify compliance with UL listings, fire/smoke ratings, ADA, life safety, and local codes.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using catalog cuts and company software.
• Create elevation drawings and sections using CAD or detailing software.
• Write technical notes identifying issues and verifications for GC/architect during submittals.
• Review schedules/submittals for errors; recalculate and resubmit as needed.
• Maintain organized project files throughout the lifecycle.
