Job summary

Ultimate Roofing WV L.L.C is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records, primarily in QuickBooks. You will reconcile bank and credit card statements, process vendor bills, and prepare monthly Profit & Loss reports for ownership.

The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to keep company finances current and accurately categorized.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong experience with QuickBooks.
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Experience with accounts payable and bill payment.
• Ability to prepare and review Profit & Loss statements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
• Reconcile all bank accounts and credit card accounts monthly.
• Review transactions and ensure expenses are properly categorized.
• Enter and manage vendor bills.
• Pay company bills accurately and on time.
• Maintain accounts payable and monitor upcoming payment obligations.
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Record deposits, payments, transfers, and other financial transactions.
• Identify duplicate, unusual, or incorrectly categorized transactions.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with year-end preparation and provide necessary information to the CPA/accountant.
• Complete monthly financial close and provide Profit & Loss, revenue, COGS, gross profit, expenses, and net profit reports.
• Ensure reconciliations are completed before monthly reports are issued.
