Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitorial associate to maintain cleanliness and sanitization in assigned facilities. Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom sanitation, trash disposal, floor care, grounds upkeep, and public area cleaning.

The role requires attention to detail and courteous customer interaction. Operates cleaning equipment and follows MSDS guidelines for chemical handling while complying with safety standards and supervisor

Qualifications

Basic operations of janitorial work.
Safe handling of cleaning chemicals per MSDS.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including standing, walking, lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height using a long duster.
Sanitizing surfaces and spot cleaning around the room.
Bathroom cleaning and sanitation of toilet areas and dispensers.
Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
Floor dusting or vacuuming with proper technique.
Maintenance of grounds and exterior areas, picking up litter.
Cleaning and spot mopping in public areas and food court.
Floor sanitizing using germicidal solution, cleaning behind furniture.
Self-inspection of room and reporting issues to supervisor.
Customer relations: knock before entry, be courteous, communicate issues to supervisor.
