Stevens & Lee is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Reading, PA to support daily accounting operations including AP/AR, reconciliations, and vendor management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, precise, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Controller, the role emphasizes accuracy, thorough documentation, and professional communication with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
• Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review client receipts and post payments to client accounts.
• Verify invoices for proper documentation and approvals prior to payment.
• Process vendor payments and prioritize invoices based on payment terms.
• Prepare and coordinate check runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Audit and process corporate credit card expenses.
• Review and process employee expense reimbursements.
• Maintain vendor records and update vendor information as needed.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries.
• Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
• Support additional accounting and finance projects as assigned.
