Sterling Land Title Agency, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio seeks a detail-oriented Commitment Preparer to join our on-site Title team. You will enter data from title research, build commitment schedules, and ensure accuracy and compliance for closing preparations.

In this full-time role, expect collaboration with licensed title staff, coordinators, and clients, with emphasis on timely communication, quality control, and maintaining audit-ready files.

Qualifications

• You must read and extract key information from deeds, contracts, and tax records.
• You ensure accuracy and compliance in title commitments and related documents.
• You communicate findings clearly to licensed staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Title Commitments by entering search data and populating templates per underwriter standards.
• Review and verify deeds, mortgages, legal descriptions, and tax records to extract key information.
• Identify discrepancies or data gaps and escalate to licensed staff before closing.
• Track curative tasks (POA/Trust, LLC/Corp docs) to keep closings on schedule.
• Coordinate with title officers, escrow coordinators, and post-closing staff to move files forward.
• Maintain file quality and ensure audit readiness.
• Communicate professionally with clients and partners.
