Exceptional Dental is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to obtain, review, and document proof of insurance information from agents, carriers, borrowers, and lenders. The role ensures insurance records are accurate and properly recorded in company systems according to procedures.

You will communicate with agents to obtain documentation, verify policy terms, and manage multiple work queues daily while maintaining high accuracy and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Six months of related experience in customer service, insurance support, verification services, or call center operations.
• Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
• Ability to understand and apply company policies, standards, and procedures in customer interactions and record handling.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with insurance agents and carriers to obtain proof of insurance documentation.
• Review insurance documents to research and verify policy and coverage information.
• Manage and process multiple work queues on a daily basis according to priority and service standards.
• Inquire about insurance status, coverage limits, policy terms, and related details.
• Document all communications and findings in borrower and client records.
• Update internal tracking systems with verified insurance information.
• Respond to insurance verification requests from borrowers and lenders.
• Review submitted proof of insurance for completeness and accuracy.
• Route incoming insurance documents to the correct client or borrower file location.
• Perform quality control checks to confirm insurance processing meets company procedures and standards.
• Follow documented workflows and processing guidelines when handling insurance records.
• Escalate discrepancies or incomplete documentation according to established procedures.
