Job summary

Meet Minneapolis seeks a Destination Services Manager to serve as the primary contact for meeting planners, coordinating destination services for citywide conventions and events at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

You will build strong relationships with planners and partners, coordinate site visits, develop itineraries, and promote Minneapolis experiences to attendees. A background in hospitality and events, plus CRM familiarity, is preferred; hybrid work is available with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (hospitality, tourism, event management, business or related) preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 2+ years’ experience in hospitality, meetings and events, destination services, tourism, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Minneapolis area hotels, venues, restaurants, attractions and resources preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Meet Minneapolis contact for assigned meeting planners from ~18 months before event.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with planners and destination partners.
• Coordinate site visits, itineraries and appointments with hotels, venues, restaurants and partners.
• Support planners in promoting Minneapolis and enhance attendee engagement.
• Consult with planners on Meet Minneapolis services and coordinate offerings (welcome banners, microsites, service notices, extended hours).
• Provide destination welcome presentations during meeting dates as requested.
• Coordinate all-hotel pre- and post-convention meetings with participating hotels and planners.
• Conduct pre-promotes as requested by planners.
• Manage smaller group bookings and related destination services assignments.
• Maintain accurate information in iDSS CRM and current information on groups and partners.
• Foster positive relationships among Meet Minneapolis partners and represent the organization at events.
