Job summary

Meet Minneapolis is seeking a National Account Executive to promote the City of Minneapolis as a premier destination for conventions and meetings. You will drive national association and corporate accounts and work to maximize room nights across partner hotels and the Minneapolis Convention Center.

This exempt, full-time role offers a base salary with incentives, a hybrid work model, and regional travel for shows and client visits.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in business or hospitality preferred.
• Minimum five years of hospitality sales experience; multi-property and/or convention centers experience preferred.
• Experience selling to the Northeast market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as assigned by the SVP of Destination Sales & Services.
• Achieve annual definite room night goals and other job-related goals.
• Actively prospect to develop business and generate new leads.
• Maintain communication on account activity through tasks, leads, updates, cancellations, definites and site tours.
• Coordinate all aspects of bid proposals.
• Organize and conduct client site inspections and FAM tours as required.
• Travel to attend trade shows, sales missions, and client visits.
• Develop and execute sales presentations.
• Conduct professional phone conversations and emails with planners and partners.
