Visit Detroit is seeking a Destination Services Manager to coordinate conventions, conferences, and large events in hotels and venues across Metro Detroit. You will work with meeting planners, clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure logistics align with client needs and drive attendance and satisfaction.

The role requires 5–7 years in event planning or hospitality, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to work in a hybrid schedule with travel as needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event planning, or related field, or comparable experience.
• 5–7 years’ experience in event planning in meetings/events or hospitality.
• 5–7 years’ experience servicing clients in a sales or event services-facing role.
• Qualifying credit history for a company Amex card required for business travel/entertainment expenses.
• Extensive knowledge of Metro Detroit tourism assets.
• CMP certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Advise meeting professionals and local host committees on available partner services.
• Lead servicing accounts with 201 peak room nights.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to secure contracted services for events.
• Deliver planning and coordination support to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Develop and update a comprehensive package of customer services for event organizers/sponsors.
• Implement strategies to increase conference attendance and regional visitation.
• Coordinate with sales to ensure seamless flow of sales-to-service information.
