Job summary

Detroit Foundation Hotel is seeking a Banquet Manager to lead the Banquets Team in executing group and social events at our Detroit property. You will engage with clients and associates, uphold service standards, and work closely with Sales, Culinary, and Hotel Operations to deliver exceptional experiences.

Ideal candidates bring leadership in Banquets or F&B management, strong English communication, and the ability to manage staffing, scheduling and inventory to ensure flawless event execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a leadership role in Banquets, Catering and/or Events or Food and Beverage Management.
• Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TiPS and ServSafe certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Banquets Team to execute group and social events.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, coach and motivate Banquet associates.
• Ensure timely setup of all functions and adherence to standards through communication with Sales and Catering.
• Review banquet event orders to determine staffing, assignments, and decor; coordinate with kitchen and staff during events.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of function spaces, public areas and service areas.
