State of Nevada’s Travel Nevada division seeks a Destination Development Manager to advance rural tourism development, collaborate with communities, and steward grant programs. Based in Nevada, you will coordinate with local governments and businesses to strengthen tourism assets and workforce capacity, reporting to the Chief Industry Development Officer.

You will apply strategic planning, diplomacy, and data-driven analysis to guide statewide destination development, ensuring transparent

Competenze

3+ years in tourism development, destination management, economic development, or related fields.
Experience with stakeholder engagement and grant management preferred.
Proficient with analytics/data visualization software, CRM, PM tools, and Microsoft Office.

Mansioni

Implement initiatives to grow rural tourism-related economic development and assets.
Monitor and evaluate project outcomes; adjust strategies for max benefits.
Administer grant programs from review to documentation and metrics tracking.
Manage destination-development contractors, budgets, RFPs, workshops, and tracking.
Develop and implement strategies aligned with Travel Nevada’s mission and goals.
Collaborate with local businesses, government agencies, and communities.
Communicate Travel Nevada’s direction with diplomacy and integrity.
