Job summary

SUNY Westchester Community College (WCC), Valhalla, offers an internship in IT support and workstation management. You will be mentored by experienced engineers while applying classroom knowledge in a real setting.

Responsibilities include imaging and deploying desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices; software installs and updates; hardware/software troubleshooting; and assisting with IT asset management and first-level support. 8 hours/week for 120 hours.

Qualifications

• GPA 2.5 or better or higher.
• At least 24 credit hours earned by internship start date.
• Approval of Curriculum Chair or other Faculty in Major.
• Must be enrolled in an industry-related degree program (e.g., CS or CIS) at SUNY WCC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with imaging, deploying, and maintaining desktop, laptop, printers, and mobile devices.
• Support software installations and updates.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Work with IT asset management and enterprise desktop tools.
• Provide first level technical assistance to the college community.
• Receive and inventory new technology assets.

Education
