Job summary

Linamar Corporation seeks an Intermediate Desktop & System Support Technician to monitor and respond to complex hardware and software problems across facilities. You will interface with vendor support, provide LAN server support, and escalate outages while maintaining PC/LAN systems in a multi-protocol environment.

The role requires strong IT knowledge, familiarity with Windows desktops, server administration, and hardware inventories.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication in professional settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and suppliers clearly.
• Capable of meeting attendance standards and working with minimal supervision.
• Experience reading policies, manuals, and technical bulletins.

Responsibilities

• Resolve desktop and network issues with SLA focus.
• Act as the IT face at facilities and coordinate with the IT team.
• Coordinate with Network Administrator for escalation and purchases.
• Maintain inventory and ensure software licensing compliance.
• Provide 2nd-tier support and assist in deploying new tech.
