Job summary

Sybex Support Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. You will provide technical support and troubleshooting to employees, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.

Responsibilities include hardware/software troubleshooting, imaging, AD management, software installations, and ticketing using ServiceNow or Remedy. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on desktop support experience.
• Strong knowledge of network administration and IT support.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
• Experience with SCCM, Remedy, or ServiceNow ticketing is a plus.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies and remote access.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
• Set up and troubleshoot network connectivity for desktops and laptops.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Assist with software installations and upgrades.
• Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner and provide resolution or elevate as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
