Job Title: Lab IT Services Support Specialist
Location:Raritan NJ
Duration:6 Months
Shift:MF 7am-4pm OR MF 3pm-12am

Job Overview:
As part of a highly collaborative technical support team, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting IT systems in a laboratory environment. This role will include integration with scientific instrumentation, managing Windows-based environments, and providing both technical and compliance support. It requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and experience working in regulated lab settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support lab IT environments typically integrated with instrumentation.

  • Administer and ensure connectivity of customer’s Windows-based platforms.

  • Support operating systems, desktop hardware/peripherals, and instrument-controlled software.

  • Manage onboarding, relocation, and retirement of lab equipment.

  • Implement security policies including user/group permissions and group/local security policies.

  • Analyze and implement enhancements to improve desktop platform performance.

  • Act as liaison between client and instrument vendors for software/hardware issues.

  • Provide support during system validations and change management efforts.

  • Maintain physical inventory of lab PCs, software, and equipment.

  • Ensure adherence to client policies through periodic reporting and compliance checks.

  • Submit weekly reports and participate in team meetings as required.

  • Provide support across OneSource practices and demonstrate appropriate use of tools/software.

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, networking, remote computing, and backup systems.

  • Experience with desktop hardware, imaging, and software configuration.

  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to manage tasks in a regulated, validated environment.

Desired/Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with scientific instrumentation.

  • Familiarity with GxP, ISO, and FDA-compliant environments.

  • Background in Life Sciences or laboratory IT support.

  • Exposure to validated systems and change management processes.
