Job summary

ESP Global Services in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver end-user IT support for Windows PCs, Macs, printers, and mobile devices. You will resolve hardware and software issues in line with SLAs and collaborate across departments to restore service promptly.

The role requires 1–3 years in helpdesk/desktop support, familiarity with Windows desktop software, and IT certifications such as A+, Network+, or Security+.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Helpdesk/Desktop Support or Field Services experience including hardware, software, connectivity, and OS issues.
• Experience with current Microsoft Windows Desktop software.
• Experience supporting DSS, multiple workstation OS (Windows, Mac), and mobile OS (Android, iOS).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, phone, remote, and email support to users of supported departments.
• Keep the ticketing system up to date with the status of all support requests.
• Keep inventory system up to date with all deployed computing asset information.
• Create and provision user accounts, email accounts, and necessary access for user staff.
• Provide support to end users in problem resolution for both Windows and Apple systems.
• Guides end users through troubleshooting procedures.
• Performs upgrades to hardware and software.
• Supports printing and other peripheral computing devices.
• Performs setup, installation, and configuration of desktop hardware and software in compliance with internal controls, policies, and standards.
• Participates in identity and access management of various systems.
• Other IT support duties to be assigned.
• This is a 40-hour week, which may vary to accommodate 5 days x 8-hour coverage from the onsite team.
