Job description

Desktop Support Technician

Position Type: Not a full-time position - backfill only.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite in an enterprise environment, with direct interaction with end users.
  2. Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  3. Provide desktop and network support.
  4. Set up, configure, and add all hardware components.
  5. Assist Corporate Desk Side Support technicians with large iMacs.
  6. Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems.
  7. Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and system groups.
  8. Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, and order or replace parts as needed.
  9. Determine and recommend products or services that best fit customer needs.
  10. Perform imaging and image recovery.
  11. Perform break/fix repairs on desktops and laptops.
  12. Install and reinstall various software packages and updates.
  13. Support WiFi and VPN connections, including wireless devices.
  14. Provide excellent customer service skills.
