Desktop Support Technician – Midtown NYC

We’re hiring a Full-Time Desktop Support Technician to assist staff and c-suite executives in a busy Midtown Manhattan office. This role focuses on face-to-face support—helping employees to resolve tech issues quickly and clearly. You’ll handle desktop setup, hardware support, software troubleshooting, and basic networking tasks. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and solving problems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers (Windows & macOS)
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and operating system issues
  • Install and update software and applications as needed
  • Set up new user accounts, reset passwords, and manage access
  • Support remote and in-office users with VPN, email, and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Zoom)
  • Maintain and track IT equipment
  • Handle basic network troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose wired and wireless connectivity problems
  • Assist with IP address assignment and identifying network settings
  • Connect devices to network printers and shared drives
  • Understand basic concepts like DHCP, DNS, and VPN access

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support in an office environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Work experience with both Windows and macOS platforms
  • Understanding of basic networking principles (IP addresses, DNS, DHCP)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Wi-Fi, Ethernet connections, and VPN issues
  • Comfortable supporting users of all levels within an organization in person
  • CCNA Certification is a plus
