General Dynamics IT is seeking experienced IT operations staff to support USSTRATCOM mission-critical systems. The role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments, with strong emphasis on security and documentation.

Qualifications

• AA/AS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in technical support or IT operations.
• Current or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI).
• Proficiency with Active Directory, MS Office, and server/workstation tools.
• Knowledge of Linux and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems and hardware across mission-critical environments.
• Support day-to-day IT operations including repairs, patches, and hardware replacements.
• Provide end-user technical assistance for access, networking, and application issues.
• Monitor performance and escalate complex problems to engineering or cybersecurity teams.
• Maintain AD accounts, group policies, and system configurations per security standards.
• Document troubleshooting steps and changes for consistent service delivery.
• Support deployments and integration of new equipment in NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR.
• Collaborate with operations, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

The work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting information systems, applications, servers, and peripheral hardware across missioncritical environments.
• Supporting daytoday IT operations including system repairs, software updates, patching, and hardware replacements to ensure continuous availability for USSTRATCOM users.
• Providing technical assistance for endusers, resolving issues related to system access, networking, applications, and workstation performance.
• Monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and escalating complex problems to engineering or cybersecurity teams as needed.
• Maintaining Active Directory accounts, group policies, permissions, and system configurations in accordance with security standards.
• Documenting troubleshooting steps, repair actions, system changes, and operational procedures to ensure consistent and accurate service delivery.
• Supporting deployments, installations, and integration of new equipment, routers, servers, and system software in NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.
• Collaborating with operations, networking, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to maintain system health and ensure compliance with mission requirements.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: AA/AS (or equivalent experience)
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical support, system maintenance, or IT operations
• Required Certifications: ITIL Foundations v4 Certificate or the ability to obtain within 9 mos8140 Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
• Location: Offutt AFB, NE
• Experience in providing technical support in secure, missionfocused environments.
• Proficiency with Active Directory, MS Office, system software, server software, and workstation troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals, routers, databases, and system security best practices.
• Strong documentation, customer service, and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues, elevate appropriately, and collaborate effectively across technical teams.
• Experience with deployments, system upgrades, and IT maintenance operations.
