Job summary

Luna Data Solutions, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to install, repair, and maintain PCs and related systems for a state agency.

You will troubleshoot software and hardware, resolve IT issues, and provide hands-on technical support, training, process creation, and mentoring for junior technicians. This role requires reliable leadership and the ability to manage end-to-end incident resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years providing warm, executive-level support.
• 5+ years end-user support experience.
• 5+ years PC hardware and routine software installation.
• 5+ years troubleshooting IT hardware and peripherals in an enterprise.
• 5+ years supporting Microsoft productivity tools (Office 365, MS Teams).
• 4+ years supporting video conferencing (Cisco Webex).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of PC hardware and related systems.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and resolve IT issues for end users.
• Identify network problems when related to desktops and laptops.
• Provide technical support, training, process creation, and lead project efforts.
• Mentor junior Technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician to support a state agency in Austin, TX. This position performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computers (PC) and related systems. Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware failures. Identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers. Provides technical support, training, process creation, and leading various project efforts, and is an exceptional local leader and mentor to junior Technicians

Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

4 Experience providing “white-glove” executive-level support.

5 Experience providing end-user support.

5 Experience supporting personal computer hardware and routine software installation.

5 Experience troubleshooting IT hardware and peripherals in an enterprise environment.

5 Experience supporting Microsoft productivity tools such as Office 365 and MS Teams.

4 Experience supporting video teleconferencing solutions such as Cisco Webex.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

5 Experience creating technical knowledge articles.

4 Experience utilizing ServiceNow in a support environment.

5 Experience working in a multi-vendor environment for support operations.
