Description

Position Summary: The IT Desktop Support Specialist provides computer support to all departments and locations within Bridgeview Eye Partners (BVEP). Responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software, ensuring optimal workstation performance. This person handles Help Desk calls promptly and provides employee training and assistance as needed.

Wage:

$19.00-$22.00

Location:

Indianapolis, IN

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software across departments to ensure optimal performance, including managing support tickets.
  2. Provide employee training and IT support as needed.
  3. Preferred experience with Ring Central administration and troubleshooting.
  4. Maintain and utilize support ticketing systems to track and prioritize issues.
  5. Escalate issues to appropriate resources when necessary.
  6. Troubleshoot computer, printer, and peripheral device issues.
  7. Coordinate with supervisors for outside support.
  8. Maintain IT inventory, including documentation of devices, software, and hardware.
  9. Document all IT-related procedures and updates.
  10. Assist with network cabling installation and troubleshooting broadband and telephone connections.
  11. Support AV setup for outside presentations.
  12. Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT Systems Director.
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, Server+ or similar.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn on the job or through courses.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional, courteous demeanor.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Physical activities include standing, reaching, walking, lifting, talking.
  • Medium physical effort; may exert up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires close visual acuity.
  • Travel is required; valid driver’s license needed.

  • Complete required training within 90 days of employment.
