Position Summary
The IT Desktop Support Specialist provides computer support to all departments and locations within Bridgeview Eye Partners (BVEP). Responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance. This person processes Help Desk calls promptly and provides employee training and assistance as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose repairs, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software across departments, including support ticketing and maintenance.
- Provide employee training and IT assistance.
- Preferred experience with Ring Central administration and troubleshooting.
- Maintain support ticketing systems to track and prioritize issues.
- Escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot computer, printer, and peripheral equipment issues.
- Coordinate with supervisors for outside support.
- Maintain IT inventory and documentation.
- Oversee network cabling installations and troubleshoot broadband and telephone connections.
- Support AV equipment for outside presentations.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Systems Director.
Education and Experience
- An associate degree in IT or related field is preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+, Server+ or similar are preferred.
